BJP members! Don’t jeopardize women’s safety by removing Bus Marshals; everyone, including BJP and Congress, benefits from Arvind Kejriwal’s schemes: Sanjay Singh

  • October 6, 2024

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has demanded an apology from Prime Minister Narendra Modi for halting Delhi’s progress by incarcerating Arvind Kejriwal under a political conspiracy at the second ‘Janta ki mein Kejriwal’ in the Chhatrasal Stadium.

During this, the AAP leaders affirmed, “Delhiites are eager for elections to reelect Arvind Kejriwal as their Chief Minister.” With a commitment to continuous progress, senior AAP leader and former Deputy CM Manish Sisodia warns that without Arvind Kejriwal’s leadership, facilities provided by the AAP government to Delhiites are at risk.

Senior AAP leader and former Deputy CM Manish Sisodia stated that under the leadership of Arvind Kejriwal, the entire AAP is once again standing before the people of Delhi. Arvind Kejriwal could have remained Chief Minister for another five or six months after coming out of jail, but he resigned. “When the CBI arrested me, I was the Deputy CM and Education Minister, working to improve Delhi’s education. After being released, I could have resumed those roles, but I refused. I did want to hold office with BJP’s false accusations on me,” he added.

The senior AAP leader further added, “Half the truth is already out in court, and the rest will be revealed by the people. If Delhiites believe in Arvind Kejriwal’s honesty, as they do, he will return as the CM of Delhi. If they trust my work, I will return as Education Minister only with their approval, otherwise I won’t.”

Manish Sisodia stated that during his padyatras people from other states tell him that ever since Arvind Kejriwal became the Chief Minister of Delhi, they believe their children’s future can only be secured under his government. Delhiites know that if Arvind Kejriwal is not re-elected, their electricity bill, which is zero now, will become thousands of rupees. Government schools will deteriorate, and private schools will increase fees manifolds. They know that without him, Mohalla Clinics will shut down, and women’s free bus rides will stop.

“PM Modi falsely accused and jailed several AAP leaders, including Arvind Kejriwal, Sanjay Singh, Satyendar Jain, and me, using the ED, CBI, Income Tax, and Delhi Police to break the AAP. PM Modi kept Arvind Kejriwal in jail for six months halted Delhi’s progress, and caused several issues for Delhiites. During my padyatras people express confidence that Arvind Kejriwal’s return will fix their problems. PM Modi should apologize for disrupting Delhi’s work and attempting to ruin the future of its children,” added the former Education Minister.

Addressing PM Modi, the senior AAP leader said, “Under a political rivalry, you imprisoned a man whom all of Delhi and the country see as a symbol of honesty. People swear by Arvind Kejriwal’s integrity. PM Modi, you cannot stop us from working. If you’re too ashamed to apologize, at least promise not to repeat this, as you only have one year left before retirement. Do something good so people remember you positively. ”

Manish Sisodia added, “The court has declared there was no case, calling the accusations false. After 400-500 raids, you found nothing on Arvind Kejriwal, me, or Sanjay Singh. The Supreme Court says that CBI and ED have become your puppets and the accusations won’t last two questions in trial court. Your case has backfired.”

“We are free, and your claims have been proven false. Arvind Kejriwal’s honesty and work speak for themselves. Whether he’s in jail or not, he’s always working to improve Delhi and the lives of the poor, which is why people trust him,” asserted the Ex-Deputy CM of Delhi.

Meanwhile, senior AAP leader and Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh said that Arvind Kejriwal had the courage to challenge the prevailing corruption and destruction in Indian politics by facing and defeating powerful goons. He provided free electricity, education, water, Mohalla Clinics, and medicines to Delhi, but the BJP started trying to stop it. Arvind Kejriwal couldn’t see Delhiites’ work not being done, and he fought for people’s welfare.

Sanjay Singh stated, “The BJP’s LG dismissed 10,000 Bus Marshals, leaving them unemployed. Arvind Kejriwal had employed them to ensure the safety of women traveling on buses. If the BJP had any humanity, they wouldn’t have allowed the dismissal of the bus marshals. The BJP should stand with Arvind Kejriwal and support him in ensuring women’s safety.”

The senior AAP leader further stated that Arvind Kejriwal, Manish Sisodia, and Satyendar Jain sat on a nine-day dharna to install CCTV cameras in Delhi, which have proven useful for everyone. When PM Modi’s niece had her bag stolen during shopping, the police used CCTV footage installed by Arvind Kejriwal to catch the thief. Facilities like CCTV cameras, Mohalla Clinics, and ‘Farishtey’ scheme benefit three crore people in Delhi. Arvind Kejriwal and his team will not be deterred by jail, batons, or lawsuits.

On the other hand, AAP Delhi State Convenor Gopal Rai said, “Just as the people of Delhi made Arvind Kejriwal the Chief Minister with a huge majority, he also worked for the people of Delhi. But the BJP could not accept this and resolved that it would neither work itself nor let Arvind Kejriwal work. The BJP conspired to stop Arvind Kejriwal’s work. The BJP sent Delhi Health Minister Satyendar Jain, Deputy CM Manish Sisodia, MP Sanjay Singh, and Arvind Kejriwal to jail. Even after this, the work did not stop.”

Gopal Rai challenged the BJP, saying, “Use all the power the BJP has to stop the work; we will work with all the power we have.” He said that despite all the challenges, Delhi is the only state in the country where electricity and water are free. “Mohalla clinics run, and medicines and tests are available for free. Women get free travel in Delhi, and the elderly receive free pilgrimages. Arvind Kejriwal is determined to work hard to make Delhi the number one state in India,” he said.

Gopal Rai added, “The BJP thought Arvind Kejriwal was power hungry, which is why he is not resigning from his post. But Arvind Kejriwal is the only leader in the world who said, ‘If I am honest and the public votes for me again, only then will I sit on the Chief Minister’s chair.’ He even left the Chief Minister’s residence. He has taken exile from power, but Arvind Kejriwal ruled the hearts of Delhiites yesterday and still does today.”

During this, Cabinet Minister Saurabh Bharadwaj said, “Ever since Vinai Saxena became the LG of Delhi, all the things that the BJP used to oppose are now facing efforts to stop those facilities in Delhi. Over 10,000 bus marshals have been on Delhi’s roads for more than a year. One day, suddenly, the LG, with BJP backing, dismissed them from their jobs.”

He continued, “Bus Marshals have not received a salary for a year. On September 26, the proposal for the reinstatement of bus marshals was passed unanimously in the Delhi Assembly. According to this, on October 3, the MLAs of the AAP and BJP were to go together to the LG and get the bus marshals reinstated. On October 3, thousands of bus marshals gathered outside the LG’s office. AAP MLAs and ministers also arrived, but the BJP MLAs did not. Bus marshals kept calling BJP leader Vijender Gupta, but he stopped answering the phone. On October 3, the BJP betrayed 10,500 bus marshals and exposed themselves in front of all of Delhi.”

Saurabh Bharadwaj further added that after this, in an attempt to cover up the issue, the BJP sought a meeting with CM Atishi on October 5. CM Atishi called him, and discussions began. But as soon as the issue of the bus marshals was raised, Vijender Gupta started avoiding the topic.

“We told him that since you’re here, at least listen to the bus marshals and find a solution. After two hours of discussion, Vijender Gupta said that if the elected government of Delhi passed a cabinet note for the reinstatement of the bus marshals, the BJP would ensure the LG signs it. CM Atishi immediately called a cabinet meeting, and the proposal was passed to reinstate all the bus marshals,” shared the Delhi Minister.

Saurabh Bharadwaj added, “We told Vijender Gupta that the proposal is now in your hands, and it’s up to you to get the LG’s signature. But the BJP leaders started evading responsibility again. Vijender Gupta tried to flee in his car. We put CM Atishi and a bus marshal in his car, along with two BJP MLAs, but Vijender Gupta opened the door and tried to escape. Our leaders and MLAs held him back, even the bus marshals pleaded with him. I held his feet and said, ‘Don’t run away, you promised to take this to the LG, so now do it.’ After much reluctance, he agreed, but on the way, he tried to make a U-turn at Rajghat.”

Saurabh Bharadwaj stated, “With great difficulty, we finally got BJP leader Vijender Gupta to the LG. After leaving the LG’s residence, Vijender Gupta announced that the LG had agreed to the government’s proposal and that the bus marshals would now be reinstated. I would like to request the LG to not delay this proposal any further but to issue the order for the reinstatement of the bus marshals today itself, so that these 10,500 families can live happily again.”
