The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has heavily criticised the Prime Minister over his brazzen misuse of the Enforcement Directorate (ED) and Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI). Senior AAP Leader and AAP Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh questioned why AAP leaders were imprisoned in false cases, even when nothing incriminating was found against them. Reacting to the raid on party MP Sanjeev Arora, he remarked that his only “crime” is being an AAP MP which is why he is being persecuted politically.
Speaking at a press conference on Monday at the party headquarters, Sanjay Singh said, “PM Modi has fallen victim to a serious disease. The name of this disease is ‘Nafrati Bimari’ (disease of hatred), and it is incurable. PM Modi is so filled with hatred and contempt towards the Aam Aadmi Party and Arvind Kejriwal that he has no interest in addressing the real issues of the country. He is neglecting education, healthcare, employment, and the farmers’ plight. He is indifferent to the violence in Manipur. While a part of the country is burning, the Prime Minister remains unconcerned. Each day, his sole purpose is to dismantle AAP and Arvind Kejriwal’s political influence by imprisoning their leaders.”
He continued, “The PM’s only aim in life after waking up in the morning is to end Arvind Kejriwal’s political career, destroy the Aam Aadmi Party, and throw its leaders in jail. I want to ask the Prime Minister of India, your ED has been rebuked by the Supreme Court not once but many times, yet you don’t understand, you don’t realize that this country runs on the Constitution and the law, not your dictatorship.”
Sanjay Singh further said that every day, the Prime Minister wakes up and orders raids on different people. He questioned the Prime Minister asking why he kept the Chief Minister of Delhi in jail for six months. He said, “The PM didn’t even provide the Chief Minister insulin, and even conspired to kill him. What did they find in Arvind Kejriwal’s house? Not even one rupee was recovered from Arvind Kejriwal’s house. Why did you keep him in jail for six months? You kept Manish Sisodia in jail for 17 months. You raided his house too, but not a single rupee was found. You raided Satyendar Jain’s house, kept him in jail for two years—he has lost 36 kilos. You raided my house too, kept me in jail for six months. What did you find? Not a single rupee was recovered from any of our houses, no documents were found against us.”
The Senior AAP leader continued, “The Prime Minister only has one agenda: whether you find anything or not, use the ED and CBI to put people in jail and finish off Arvind Kejriwal and the Aam Aadmi Party. But this is a futile effort. This is an effort in which you will not succeed. You tried putting everyone in jail, but no one gave in, Prime Minister. You tried to break us, but no one bent. You are now targeting our Rajya Sabha MP, Sanjeev Arora. You raided his house. And now in Haryana and Jammu & Kashmir, the BJP is going to lose badly. You are trying to suppress this news by targeting the Aam Aadmi Party.”
Sanjay Singh said, “Sanjeev Arora does a lot of charity work. He is a good man, and his only crime is being an MP of the Aam Aadmi Party. He has lived a long public life, and the ED never reached his door before. No action was ever taken against him. But now, because he is with AAP, there are raids at his house.”
He stated, “I want to tell the people of this country that a man with a disease of hatred has become the Prime Minister, and he can neither provide employment to the youth, nor give farmers fair prices for their crops, nor provide safety for women, nor stop the violence in Manipur. He cannot improve education and healthcare. His only goal is to use the ED and CBI to finish off the Aam Aadmi Party and Arvind Kejriwal. But Prime Minister, the more you try, the more you will fail. The Aam Aadmi Party’s journey will continue to grow stronger.”
Sanjay Singh further said, “Today, the whole country has recognized the real face of Prime Minister Modi. First, he accuses someone of a scam worth Rs 70,000 crores, then someone else of a scam worth Rs 20,000 crores, and later embraces all the scamsters and includes them in his party. Arvind Kejriwal is doing good work for the people of Delhi and the country, but they are running a campaign to end his party by putting him in jail. However, this conspiracy by the BJP and Prime Minister Modi will never succeed.”
