The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has charged the top BJP leadership for orchestrating the abduction of Councillor Ramchandra. Senior AAP leader and MLA Dilip Pandey pointed out that after mounting pressure through social media, Delhi Police got the councilor released from the clutches of the BJP within two hours. The AAP MLA condemned the BJP, claiming the brazen act exposes the party’s disregard for democracy even in the nation’s capital.
Senior AAP leader and MLA Dilip Pandey, in a press conference at the party headquarters, said that till date we used to see such things only in films, where some goons, flouting the rules of democracy, either kill public representatives serving the public, kidnap them, or try to make them do some wrong work by scaring them with the fear of police. But today, to satisfy its political ego, the BJP has brought this whole episode to life in Delhi.
The AAP MLA continued, “BJP, in collusion with Delhi Police, got AAP councilor Ramchandra kidnapped. The former BJP councilor went to Ramchandra’s house to meet him and said that he wanted to meet him. When Ramchandra went to meet him, the BJP leader and 5-6 people accompanying him intimidated him, forced him into a car and kidnapped him.”
Dilip Pandey further added that today the BJP has flouted the law in its arrogance, I am sure that its echo must have reached the ears of the LG of Delhi, in whose hands the entire law and order of Delhi is. Today the BJP has thrown away the veil of shame and respect by kidnapping the AAP councilor in broad daylight. Ramchandra’s son and the entire family are worried and immersed in fear. His son posted a video on social media and told that his father was kidnapped by a former BJP councilor along with some people. Now his phone is also switched off.
He expressed that today even an elected representative is not safe in the country’s capital, let alone the safety of the common citizens. What does the BJP want to prove by kidnapping the AAP councilor? The whole world has its eyes on Delhi, the BJP did not even care that the publication of such news will defame India’s name in the whole country. For one and a half to two hours, AAP leaders and MPs pressurized Delhi Police officials through social media, contacted them, and pressurized them through social media, only then after two hours Ramchandra return.
“This is straight-up hooliganism of the BJP, in which the police are also involved. I have received information that the top leadership of the BJP has also had a hand in this entire kidnapping. All this is in their knowledge and this act was done with their consent,” asserted Dilip Pandey.
