Senior Aam Aadmi Party leader and former Deputy Chief Minister of Delhi, Manish Sisodia, on Thursday inaugurated the Bhavya Ramlila and Dussehra Mahotsav at Ras Vihar in his constituency, Patparganj. During the event, he stated, “Lord Ram established the principle that even if one has to endure exile to serve the people, they must do so.” Referring to his time in jail, he said that he used to think that he too is walking on the path of Lord Ram’s dignity and such small obstacles were bound to come.
Former Deputy Chief Minister of Delhi, Manish Sisodia, said, “Lord Ram has been especially kind to all of us. I have been taking inspiration from the life of Lord Ram since childhood. While growing up, my family told me about Lord Ram, the epitome of dignity. However, I truly understood how inspiring the life of Lord Ram can be during my 17 months in jail. While incarcerated due to false allegations, I read books like the Ramyana, Ramlila, and Ramcharitmanas, interpreted by many great personalities. I also read numerous books written on the character of Lord Ram.”
Manish Sisodia added, “I often thought that Lord Ram was God. He could do anything if he wanted; not even a leaf can move without his signal. Yet, despite this, he endured many hardships while maintaining the highest dignity. He left his family as a child and went with Guru Vishwamitra. He spent 14 years in exile and fought the war in Lanka. After that, he faced many challenges in governance and had to stay away from Mata Sita. Our sufferings are nothing compared to his.”
Manish Sisodia said, “Lord Ram suffered 14 years of exile to serve the people of Ayodhya. He established the principle that whoever serves the public will have to endure the pain of exile. Whenever a person thinks of doing something for the people and children, challenges will inevitably arise on the path of righteousness. While sitting in jail, I often thought that I was walking on the path of Lord Ram. He accomplished such great things for the world, and as a small man, I am trying to do something for the small city of Delhi, so obstacles will come. If Lord Ram, being God, could endure 14 years of exile, then we, as humans, must do the same. These experiences become even more important for our inner growth and strength. I have drawn so much inspiration from Lord Ram during these difficult times that I believe there can be no greater inspiration for anyone facing such challenges than Lord Ram.”
