With a sea of flower garlands and resonating chants, former Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia’s padyatra stormed through Timarpur assembly constituency on Tuesday. Crowds hailed the man behind Delhi’s education revolution, echoing his call: “Imandari ki kya pehchan?” The public’s answer was loud and clear—”Kejriwal aur Jhadu ka nishaan!”
Schoolchildren and locals alike rallied behind Manish Sisodia, reaffirming their faith in the duo’s unshakeable integrity, with a clear demand: Arvind Kejriwal and Manish Sisodia must return as the Chief Minister and Education Minister respectively. During this, local MLA Dilip Pandey and many party workers were present.
During the padyatra, Manish Sisodia said, “I am meeting a large number of people everywhere whose children are receiving a good education, who are benefiting from Mohalla Clinics, or whose electricity bills have dropped to zero. Everywhere, the people of Delhi are saying that they want Arvind Kejriwal back as Chief Minister and me as Education Minister.”
The Ex-Deputy Chief Minister of Delhi continued, “They have full faith in the honesty of Arvind Kejriwal and Manish Sisodia that’s why Arvind Kejriwal resigned—because of the allegations made against him and me. This is also why I did not take up any post. Now, we are going to the public and telling them, if you believe in our honesty, then show your support by voting for the AAP and putting your stamp on our integrity.”
Manish Sisodia said that during the padyatra in Timarpur, the public expressed their support, saying, “Do not lose hope. We will make Arvind Kejriwal the Chief Minister again and you the Education Minister, because you have improved the schools for our children. Arvind Kejriwal built Mohalla Clinics for us and made our electricity bills zero.”
He further added that in every street and neighborhood, there are children whose schools have been transformed, and families who are seeing a brighter future for their children. “Everyone knows that the future of their children depends on quality education, and only Arvind Kejriwal can provide that. The people of Delhi are eagerly waiting for the elections to bring us back to power and put us in office again,” he said.
Earlier, while addressing the public directly, Manish Sisodia stated, “You all know that Arvind Kejriwal has resigned. If he wanted, he could have remained the Chief Minister for four more months. The Supreme Court had granted him bail, and he came out of jail. When granting me bail, the court questioned the ED and CBI, asking what kind of case they had built, saying it wouldn’t withstand even two questions in the trial court. Despite this, Arvind Kejriwal said, ‘I am resigning.’ He resigned because he is the most unwaveringly honest leader in this country.”
“The BJP sent Arvind Kejriwal to jail as part of a conspiracy. I was already in jail, and Sanjay Singh was also imprisoned. The BJP’s conspiracy was to break the government and dismantle the party by imprisoning these leaders. That’s why, at that moment, Arvind Kejriwal strategically chose not to resign and successfully thwarted the BJP’s plan,” asserted the Ex-Deputy Chief Minister of Delhi.
Manish Sisodia stated, “When the Supreme Court granted me bail, they told me to go out and continue my work. Arvind Kejriwal was also granted bail, but he came out and said that the BJP has defamed him. He wanted the people of Delhi to respond to this slander. Elections are coming in four months, and the people of Delhi know that Arvind Kejriwal is an honest leader. They will bring him back to power with a full majority, and he will work for the next five years.
“The Supreme Court itself has said that the charges against both me and Arvind Kejriwal won’t stand in the trial court, but it will take at least six years for those two questions to be addressed in court. If Arvind Kejriwal wanted, he could have remained in his position until then, but he said, ‘I cannot carry this stigma,’ and chose to resign, going back to the people of Delhi for their judgment,” mentioned the senior AAP leader.
He said, “When Arvind Kejriwal was resigning, I could have become the Chief Minister or a Minister if I wanted. In the last eight years, I have built excellent schools and universities for children and provided them with quality education. If I had wanted, I could have held onto the position.”
“But, this stain has been thrown at me as well, so I will not hold any position now. I will only sit in the post of Deputy Chief Minister or Education Minister if the people say that Sisodia is honest. The people of Delhi will decide in the next elections. If they believe Manish Sisodia is honest, they will make me the Education Minister again; otherwise, I will not take the chair. Every family knows that children are our future, and only the team of Manish Sisodia and Arvind Kejriwal can shape that future. Only this duo can build great schools,” affirmed Manish Sisodia.
During a media interaction, the Ex-Education Minister said, “Children are our future and only the Arvind Kejriwal – Manish Sisodia duo can make this future better. Only the Kejriwal – Sisodia duo can make excellent schools. Arvind Kejriwal and Manish Sisodia need to be elected again as Chief Minister and Education Minister respectively for excellent government schools and colleges to be built and operated.”
